Monte Alban, Hierve el Agua & New work

28th Nov 2023_

Past couple weeks me and my partner have been exploring Oaxaca, from trying the local foods like the mole dishes, Tlayudas, and drinking the local drinks like Mezcal to visiting archeological sites such as Monte Alban. Monte Alban is a mesoamerican city which included some pyramids which were cool to see. We also took a trip to Hierve el Agua which must have been one of the best views I’ve ever seen.

It had pools to swim in from natural springs with views of endless mountains. The natural springs have made several petrified waterfalls, both places were inspiring visually. I’ve also been gathering some local books on the history of the area which I’m going to use to inspire some new pieces so keep your eyes peeled.
